Stan Deans began his UPS career in 1983 as a package handler in the Wisconsin District. He became a hub sort manager in 1990 in the Indiana District then held various hub and package positions in Indiana and Illinois before being named hub division manager in Metro Chicago in 1997.
After an assignment in Pennsylvania, Stan became North Jersey District manager in 2002. Following a similar assignment in the Metro Jersey District, Stan became Europe Region District coordinator in 2005. In 2008, he served as Metro Chicago District manager until being named Illinois District manager in April 2010. Stan accepted the position of Central Region manager in 2012 and assumed the role of U.S. Operations Manager in April 2013.
Stan was named as President of UPS Global Logistics and Distribution in 2015. In this role, Stan directs activities related to the company’s key product offerings, which include distribution and fulfillment services for the healthcare, high-tech, premium retail and aerospace sectors. The portfolio also includes service parts logistics and Mail Innovations, the company’s business mail services unit.
Stan has been instrumental in building UPS’s relationship with Fast Radius by implementing its On Demand Production Platform™ and 3D Printing factory in UPS’s Louisville-based logistics campus. By building this disruptive technology into its supply chain models, UPS is now able to bring new value to manufacturing customers of all sizes.
