The chip cycles are revving and that means new devices are coming. One of them just might be a successor to the original Chromebook Pixel, which debuted two years ago this month. Evidence of testing Chrome OS software with an unannounced laptop that has both a lightbar on the lid and 2560 x 1700 resolution was found recently and the screenshot evidence was promptly pulled.

Turns out the original Pixel had those same characteristics so it’s not a stretch to consider a Pixel 2 is in the works. Besides: The first edition is nearly two chip generations behind current computers and doesn’t benefit from the battery life found in today’s laptops.

On this week’s podcast we discuss that news and share information about several new Chrome and Chrome OS features, plus some thoughts on using a Chromecast for a wireless computing display in the future.
