Structure Data: strategy meets data in New York City

Structure Data Awards

We’ll be launching the Structure Data Awards in New York City next month, honoring some of the best and brightest data-based startups. Our editorial team has selected 8 of of the best in class, who will all be taking the stage to talk about their approaches to data analysis across machine learning, business analytics, infrastructure, and more. We’ll also be awarding Reader’s Choice Award in eight different categories, so be sure to vote for your top picks by February 14.

Mapping Sessions Get Focused

Our very first Mapping Session was held at Structure Data in 2012, where we dove into some of the thornier issues around Hadoop. Two years later, our Mapping Sessions have become one of the signature highlights of our conferences. This year, our research analysts are curating a series of highly-focused sessions, including an invitation-only program for technology buyers, as well as one open to all conference attendees: Machine learning: when does the payoff start? All-Star Speakers and Panels

Our conference speakers and panel discussions are, of course, the highlight go our events, and this year is no different: check out our full speaker lineup here, as well as the conference schedule. Some of the major topics that we’ll be tackling include:

  • Do You Need Data Scientists? What should they look like? We’ll take a deep dive into the methods companies are using to capture, store, analyze and serve the data that’s driving their businesses.
  • Deep Learning: The Holy Grail for Big Data: From automated text analysis to natural-language processing to image recognition, new applications are delivering rich new insights.
  • Toeing the Line between Privacy, Profit and Protection: Is the right to privacy paramount? Or are we putting the public at risk to protect an ideal? What will the outrage about consumer privacy mean for businesses’ bottom line?
