YouTube network Fullscreen launches analytics tools for creators

Online video company Fullscreen, which has over 10,000 YouTube (s GOOG) channels with 200 million subscribers and 2.5 billion monthly views, is giving video creators the benefit of its expertise. Fullscreen announced Tuesday that it’s launching the Fullscreen Creator Platform, a set of analytics tools and apps that creators can use to build audiences and monetize content. Fullscreen is also launching an iOS (s AAPL) app that allows users to track their videos’ performance from their phones.

In order to use the tools, users have to be part of Fullscreen’s network, which includes people like comedian and vlogger Michael Buckley and dubstep violinist Lindsey Stirling. They can then access apps that, for example, allow them to schedule video publish times or choose from a library of licensed music. They will also get financial statements, analytics and statistics about viewership, traffic sources and sharing. In addition, the brands and media companies that work with Fullscreen will get more analytics features that allow them to compare their videos’ performance to that of competitors and discover trending content.

Fullscreen, which is based in Los Angeles, was founded by former YouTube manager George Strompolos in 2011. In June, the company closed a Series A funding round led by the Chernin Group and including participation from Comcast Ventures and WPP Digital, for an unspecified sum.
