Industry Moves: Azullo; Thrillist; DataXu; Meredith

Azullo: Tim Brooks has been appointed chairman of digital advertising technology company Azullo. Formerly managing director of Guardian News & Media, he currently teaches at London Business School. Prior to Guardian, he was chairman of Newspaper Publishers Association. Earlier this month Azullo secured second round funding from investors including AXM Venture Capital and Joel Rosenblatt.

Thrillist: Philippe Guelton is now president of Thrillist Media Group. With over 15 years of digital experience, he most recently was EVP and COO of HFMUS. During his eight years there, HFMUS acquired Jumpstart, launched and created the HFMUS Media Lab and eventually sold to Hearst Corp in June 2011.

DataXu: Geoff Dodge joins DataXu from Salesforce, and will now serve as EVP of sales and marketing, overseeing marketing for the DX3 enterprise platform. Prior to his tenure at as SVP of sales, Dodge was SVP and publisher of BusinessWeek.

Meredith (NYSE: MDP) Corp: Brian Kightlinger has been named VP of corporate sales for the Meredith National Media Group, reporting to EVP/CRO Michael Brownstein. Kightlinger previously was group associate publisher/director of sales for Meredith’s Parents network.
