Half of the respondents to GigaOM Research’s 2012 reader survey on Pinterest said the company should experiment but not at the expense of the user experience. Another 34 percent said it should stay focused on building the audience rather than trying to convert the audience into a revenue stream. Only 12 percent said the company needs to start creating revenue today, and another 4 percent said they don’t believe the company will ever be able to make money.
