How will Pinterest’s gender breakdown change in the future?

Source Article

The results

The majority of respondents to a GigaOM Research survey (65 percent) felt Pinterest would start to see a greater share of men in the future, but that overall the site will continue to remain more popular with women. Nearly a quarter, 23 percent, felt the site’s users would remain predominantly female, while only 11 percent felt the site would eventually maintain an equal share of both men and women.
It’s unclear if men will become a greater share of Pinterest users, since the visual pinboarding and scrapbooking style has seemed to appeal more to women. Changing that significantly could mess with a successful recipe.
