Why do BI analytics projects often fail?
The skills gap is hitting companies hard when it comes to data analytics. Almost half of respondents (45 percent) to a GigaOM Research survey cited a lack of expertise to analyze and gain knowledge from data as the main reason why BI projects fail. The dearth of skilled data scientists and analysts who know how to work with large data sets and mine them for useful information is in the news frequently.
