Americas: 2011 OEM mobile-phone market share by shipments

Nokia has a relatively small share of the market in the Americas compared to other regions, at just 13.2 percent. The company is planning to re-enter the U.S. smartphone market in 2012 with the Windows Phone, which, depending on the success of the device, will help boost the company’s position in this region.
