Nathan Gilliatt is an Analyst for Gigaom Research and the principal at Social Target, a research and consulting firm focused on helping companies establish intelligence and analytics capabilities based on social media and other data sources. Nathan has over 20 years of experience in identifying and communicating the value of new technologies for non-technical audiences.

Before forming Social Target, Nathan held marketing and product management positions at Alcatel and Nortel Networks, where he focused on the impact of emerging broadband technologies on the market for Internet access services. The author of the AT&T WorldNet Tour Guide (Ventana, 1997), Nathan has helped clients with Internet technologies and applications since 1991.
