Laurie Lamberth is an Analyst for Gigaom Research and a business development, marketing and strategy executive specializing in the Internet of Things, machine-to-machine communications (M2M), location-based services (LBS) and digital media. Laurie began her 20-year wireless career by launching U.S. Tier 1 mobile operator Nextel Communication’s first market, propelled Nextel’s growth in various Marketing positions, and recruited mobile network, device and application partners as Business Development Director for Nextel, Sprint Nextel and Powerwave Technologies. Laurie led the Enterprise Business Development Team at Sprint Nextel for seven years, including five years heading up M2M business development.
Laurie leveraged her mobile experience and massive collection of contacts in the global mobile, M2M, enterprise mobility and digital/mobile advertising industries into an independent practice, Lamberth & Associates, through which she helped high-tech clients launch, scale and grow their businesses. The mobile industry has noticed Laurie’s expertise: Connected World Magazine recognized Laurie as one of the “Women of M2M” in February 2013, and AlwaysOn Networks named Laurie a “Power Player in Mobile” in October, 2013.
Laurie is a graduate of the Executive MBA program at UCLA’s Anderson School and holds a B.S. in Accounting from California State University, Long Beach. She is a California CPA and Certified Management Accountant (both inactive).
