Jen Stirrup is an analyst, an author, a data strategist and practitioner in Business Intelligence, Big Data technologies and Data Visualisation. Jen is joint owner of a boutique consultancy firm that offers strategic advice and implementation in data technologies. With nearly 20 years’ experience in delivering artificial intelligence, business intelligence and data visualisation projects, Jen has focused on delivering business value for organisations of various sizes around the world. She has a particular interest in helping organisations to define their enterprise Business Intelligence strategy, and then executing the strategy with the business users’ needs foremost in the implementation.
Jen has expertise in delivering enterprise Business Intelligence initiatives in a variety of versions of Business Objects, SQL Server and Oracle Business Intelligence solutions, and she is a current Awardee of the Microsoft Most Valuable Professional Award. Jen has also delivered enterprise data visualisation projects in SharePoint and inTableau, and she is a Tableau Certified Consultant. Based on her Tableau experience, Jen has published a book on using Tableau to produce dashboards, and is the process of writing an advanced Tableau query book. More recently, Jen has also successfully delivered a number of end-to-end business-oriented projects in Big Data technologies, with a particular focus on Hortonworks distribution of Hadoop.
Jen is an elected member of the Board of Directors for the Professional Association of SQL Server, holding the EMEA seat. Jen has presented in various conferences worldwide, including Live 360!, TechEd and PASS Summit.
