Jef Davis is an Analyst for Gigaom Research and an award-winning User Experience Architect who creates high-quality products, services, spaces and interactions that are informed and inspired by peoples’ behavior and experience – physical, cognitive, social, emotional, and cultural. His work involves the whole process from “think-to-build” – gathering insight, exploring and defining design opportunities, helping to define strategy, creating tangible design expressions, and communicating the essence of these ideas. Davis has a Master’s Degree in Interactive Computer Graphics from Pratt Institute in New York City. Additionally, he has lectured in both the Computer Graphics and Graphic Design Departments at San Francisco State University and the Academy of Art College as well as abroad. He has written two books, authored two screenplays, several treatments and a collection of short stories and his paintings have been exhibited both in the United States and in Europe. He has lived and worked in the United States, Spain, France, Japan, Denmark, China, Taiwan and Australia and currently lives in New York City where he studies shoe design and takes long, meandering walks while speaking to himself in the third-person.
