George Gilbert is an Analyst for Gigaom Research and the Co-founder and Principal of TechAlpha Partners, a management consulting and research firm. The firm advises enterprise customers how to leverage data-based services to remake how they create and capture value. It also advises vendors how to match the sweet spot of their products’ usage scenarios with the range of enterprise customers’ needs.
George has led conference panels with prominent thought leaders in cloud infrastructure and big data. He has been profiled on the front page of the Wall Street Journal and published as a guest author in a major overview of the evolution of cloud computing in The Economist.
Previously, George was the lead enterprise software analyst for Credit Suisse First Boston, one of the leading investment banks to the technology sector. Prior to being an analyst, George worked at Microsoft as a product manager on Windows Server and spent 4 years in product management and marketing at Lotus Development.
George received his BA in economics from Harvard University.
