Enterprise email in the war between Google and Microsoft

In his Weekly Update, Stowe Boyd, the Gigaom Research curator for social, warns that ‘Google is planning to steal Microsoft’s future’. That is, he sees something of a pincer strategy between Google’s email-as-a-service product and its Office alternatives in the company’s attempt to enter from the SMB market and penetrate Microsoft’s share of the enterprise communications and productivity sectors.
