Microsoft embraces agile
In his Weekly Update, Stowe Boyd, the Gigaom Research curator for social, looks at how ‘Nadella makes Microsoft’s plans clear: 18,000 to go’. Beyond the news of the sheer massive job cuts, new Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella signaled a realignment of development principles, including less reliance on contractors and more use of agile development and testing principles. A less hierarchical organization and restructuring of product development are part of the planned new approach.
