In his Weekly Update, Adam Lesser, the Gigaom Research curator for cleantech has an interesting perspective from Sunil Paul, the CEO of ride-sharing startup Sidecar, on investment models in the cleantech space. Paul considers an enterprise IT investment model, among several other models, for bringing cleantech innovations to market. He particularly notes the effectiveness of the consumer IT investment model, which relies on the scaling network effects of consumer acceptance to build a platform, market, and margins.
