Falling prices for the Internet of Things

In his Weekly Update, Adam Lesser, the Gigaom Research curator for cleantech, has an interview with David Friedman, the CEO of Ayla Networks on determining the value of the Internet of Things. Ayla is a startup that provides cloud-based connections and analysis for the IoT. Among Friedman’s observations is a projection that within 18 months the cost to connect a device will have fallen to $5, with both the home and business markets growing as a result.
