Short Takes: the real enemy of productivity, Spigit being acquired, Crushpath adds new integrations
I got an email with the results of a survey by Kona and Sodahead that show the real enemy of business productivity. Twenty-two percent of respondents say, “I keep track of everything in my head,” and only 8 percent are using some kind of project management software.
It’s the twenty-first century last time I looked, but then again 18 percent of Americans believe the sun revolves around the Earth.
Spigit, the crowdsourced innovation platform, is apparently about to be acquired, according to an SEC Filing from PICO Holdings, one of the company’s investors. There is nothing about the acquisition on the Spigit website, however.
Crushpath, the social sales and marketing solution, wins the bad pitch of the week award. I got an email pointing to a post titled “Introducing New Sharing Features and Google Integration.” The Google integration was described pretty well: Pull in your Google contacts and you can promote your Crushpath pitches to them. Easy. And Google+ integration works as you’d imagine. But the new sharing features?
Share Your Pitch Socially
Imagine knowing which social media channels have the most potential to work, before you even post to them. You’d pick a few, post at the touch of a button, and get ready for new business. And when the promotion’s over, you’d be able to see what actually worked and what didn’t. Stop imagining. It’s here. Link your accounts. Marvel at your potential reach. Then, hit ‘em with your best shot. Get social.
No list of the social networks, just this image, which was partially cut off on the site:
And no description of which of these are new or what features are new. Guys, don’t make it so hard.
It seems like email and embed codes are supported, along with Twitter, Facebook, Google+, LinkedIn, Pinterest, and Foursquare. I guess. Maybe. Who knows?
