UserScout connects participants and market researchers
We’ve heard the stories about how companies are crowdsourcing innovation and feedback, but what about market research? UserScout is a new market research “placeform” (marketplace + platform = placeform) that brings together willing participants (looking to get paid) with market researchers (eager for market data). UserScout just emerged from the Joyful Frog digital incubator in Singapore, so a sizable number of the opportunities are in Singapore.
The market researchers create specialized recruitment pages, schedule time slots for participants to select, and set screening criteria.
The offerings are fairly minimal at present, and many require traveling to a physical location, like San Francisco. Until the placeform ramps up with a broader variety of online and regional opportunities, it looks like small potatoes. But it is a simple and intuitive product and one that could help market researchers a great deal.
