Nokia today announced a new, ad-free streaming music service for Lumia users in the U.S. Nokia Music will be downloadable from Windows Phone Marketplace and will offer 150 playlists across a variety of genres, as my colleague Kevin Tofel reports. And users can access a “create” function to build their own personalized playlist from Nokia’s music library. This isn’t a groundbreaking service by any means, but if it works well it could sway some users to buy a Lumia device. Nokia will have to roll out more offerings like this if it hopes to stay afloat as more Windows Phone devices come to market from other manufacturers.
