Today in Mobile
My colleague Kevin C. Tofel reports this morning that demand for the Samsung Galaxy S III is causing shortages at several carriers. And while T-Mobile has the phone in stock, it’s charging $80 more than its fellow carriers. As Tofel noted a few weeks ago, these shortages were predictable given the five-carrier U.S. rollout on the heels of launches in Europe and Asia. The Galaxy S III is garnering generally positive reviews, but these shortages could substantially limit sales in a market where eye-catching phones are launched every few weeks.
