Today in Cleantech

According to a survey by consulting firm Campbell Mithun, 60 percent of respondents said they find the idea of sharing appealing. Perhaps the most interesting finding from the survey is that the demo most interested in sharing is gen x and makes over 75K a year. Sharing appeals to people with more money who are socially conscious, (and likely have good internet access and mobile connectivity), not people who can’t afford to necessarily buy items. As collaborative consumption grows as a phenomenon with the likes of Airbnb and Zipcar leading the charge, there’s more evidence of a cultural shift driving sharing, not just an economic one.
