Today is Windows 8 Consumer Preview day. Microsoft officially unveiled the consumer beta of its new OS at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona this morning, underscoring the high priority the company is placing on mobile platforms for the latest iteration of its venerable desktop franchise.
