As Derrick Harris notes for GigaOM, Amazon now claims to be hosting 566 billion objects in their Simple Storage Service, S3. This marks growth of 26% since the end of June, and there’s absolutely no sign of the growth slowing. Despite high profile outages in the U.S. and Europe, and a recurrence of European grumbles about storing data with U.S. corporations, Amazon is on a roll.
