Apple finally enforced it’s new rules on in-app purchasing this week, and this resulted in the Amazon and Google among others having to make significant adjustments to their apps to comply. Amazon removed it’s Kindle Store link and Google also adjusted its app, bringing them both in compliance with the new rules. In general I think Apple is making a mistake, as they’re new rules are putting in motion efforts by a number of large content providers to diversify off of iOS, not to mention likely creating the spark behind Amazon’s efforts to move into tablets.
