Today in Mobile

Huawei today said it will join the crowded market of Android-based tablets with MediaPad, a 7-inch gadget that will run version 3.2 of Google’s mobile operating system. My colleague Kevin Tofel lists the specs here, but Huawei is remaining mum on the most important figure — price. Apple has set a standard with its $500 entry-level iPad, and competitors have had a hard time matching that figure. If Huawei can price its MediaPad competitively, it may find a sizable audience.
