Hulu looks to be on the block, but as Ryan outlines in this post, it’s far from a sure thing that the company will find a suitor. While Fox re-upped their deal, the ABC and NBC are deals still need ink, and unless Hulu can get significant multiyear deals for all of its major content it’ll be a hard sell. The other complication is the acquirer. Early rumors have it as Yahoo, which likely would be palatable for the content partners, but whose to say Google wouldn’t step in, and don’t rule out Yahoo itself being acquired by another firm in the future which the content partners would not want to hold multiyear rights to their content.
