The biggest news of the week in tech was the introduction of Apple’s consumer cloud platform and service brand in iCloud. The suite of services is fairly strong but not entirely surprising, as Apple allows for cross-device syncing of all apps, music, photos and documents, and they are also rolling their legacy MobileMe service under iCloud and eliminating the separate fee. The full iCloud suite of services will be available with iOS5, but iTunes in the Cloud is available this week and allows for seamless downloading of purchased music across devices, as well as even allowing non-iTunes purchased music syncing through iTunes Match.
