Today in Cloud
Back in March, Leo Apotheker’s announcements about HP’s cloud plans were widely greeted as interesting, logical, but somewhat light on detail. An update to the LinkedIn profile of Scott McClellan, noticed by The Register, appears to offer some more detail and strengthens the growing belief that HP may not place Microsoft’s Windows Azure at the heart of its public cloud offering. I am in Madrid today at HP’s Technology at Work event, where no one on stage has said anything that would confirm or refute The Register’s analysis. I may be imagining it, but are the VMware logos more prominent than the Microsoft ones on the slides?
