I used to believe that the switch would happen that quickly, but see so many (real and imagined) reasons for delay that I now think it&#039;ll take a few more years. The current growth in private cloud also appears to have at least 3-5 years to run before it begins to slow and convert to public infrastructure.

I&#039;d like to see more graphs of anticipated growth, like the EMC one James used. Each of those graphs would probably be based upon a different starting premise and different inputs, but with some transparency around those we&#039;d all be in a better position to see the direction in which things are headed.]]></description>
