I’ve long been a fan of Animoto, which does music vide0-style mashups of a person’s video and picture collection, but as Ryan points out, it’s never gotten a huge installed base of users. However, their new partner program will expose the service to other companies – such as Kodak’s – installed base, which could create some momentum for the service. Quite honestly, I have to wonder what took them so long in opening up to partners, as its much easier create adoption of a nice service rather than build one in a highly competitive marketplace.
