It’s a predictably slow news day as many head home from Barcelona, but The Register has a good piece here discussing Intel’s predicament now that Nokia has jumped in bed with Microsoft. Nokia still plans to churn out a single MeeGo handset, but Intel is hunting for a partner to continue its work on the OS in the long term. There’s no question that carriers want “a third ecosystem,” as Intel’s CEO claims, but MeeGo’s chances of being that third ecosystem have never been bleaker.
