I suspect there will be something of a focus on Big Data for this, my first week on the job. I am in Silicon Valley for most of the week, immersed in Cassandra, Hadoop, NoSQL and the rest, and mingling with quite a crowd of Big Data aficionados at a conference on the topic.
It therefore seemed fitting, waking to Brett Sheppard’s new Research Briefing, Big Data 2011 Preview, here on GigaOM Pro. It went well with my bagel and coffee, and serves as a useful introduction to many of the topical issues surrounding this latest fuzzy bucket of a term.
