Today in Cloud
It’s all about Hadoop today, with Hadoop World taking place in New York. I’ve covered the ecosystem on several occasions, but today really affirmed, for me, the potential for software vendors that embrace Hadoop. The amount of news (and coverage) this event produced, from such a wide variety of sources, suggests bigger things to come. I’m not saying Hadoop World will become Oracle OpenWorld next year, but the growing user and vendor ecosystems around Cloudera alone tell me that serious growth is on the way.
