The hackers who harvested e-mail addresses from more than 100,000 iPads fired back at AT&T today, calling the carrier “dishonest” about how secure the gadget is. The move followed AT&T’s allegations that Goatse Security “maliciously exploited” a feature on its web site that enabled iPad owners to log in. The finger-pointing is keeping the keeping the security breach in the headlines, which is bad news for Apple at a time when it already is drawing unwanted attention from federal regulators.
