When you and I read the same story online, are we seeing the same headline? Not always. The Huffington Post, for example, tests out different headlines randomly and in real time to find the most effective ones. Apply that beyond just headlines, and it has interesting implications for the real-time web: If information is constantly in motion, is to too inconsistent? What problems might arise if a story is different depending on who’s reading it?
