News is out today that Facebook is aging rapidly, which could account somewhat for the sliding fortunes of Slide and other social network app makers. As Facebook has attempted to Twittererize the information flow, some younger users may have just chosen to get the real thing over at, well, Twitter. That said, those of us who have seen parents and inlaws jump onto Facebook in the last six months aren’t surprised by the news of the graying of Facebook, though what this does for future registrations of the core Facebook demographic – teens and twentysomethings – is something to watch closely.
