I completely agree that mobile versions of innovative services like WolframAlpha could really drive the space, Jon. I'm also curious to see whether ChaCha can survive -- I'm skeptical about its business model, but I love the concept of "human guides." I'm looking forward to seeing a lot of progress in mobile search over the next couple of years.

I have a Blackberry 8830 World Edition and find myself constantly using Google to search for stuff. Partly because AppWorld is pretty terrible, but also partly (as Colin stated in the article), it takes just as long to search for the app than to just search on Google.

Also, if it is super long-tail, like shopping for a new house, when I buy my house then I have to go through the process of deleting the app from my phone.

^^^What I'd like to see is a mobile version (or app) of WolframAlpha. Something that answers your question rather than just giving you search results.^^^
