Happy Friday, and welcome to all our new subscribers! Yesterday Hulu announced their own desktop player, causing many, including Boxee, to scratch their heads. It seems NBC wasn’t against standalone apps, just standalone apps not of their own making. Asked about it at D7, Jeff Zucker of “analog dollars to digital pennies” fame ducked the question. Swisher’s interview with Zucker covered a lot of ground, one of which was Zucker saying he’s open to placing his video on Facebook, adding “We want to get paid for it.”
